An Oklahoma City police officer who lost his K-9 unit in the line of duty in August has a new K-9 partner.
Police say Sgt. Ryan Stark shot a suspect who was stabbing his K-9 unit, Kye. Kye died from his injuries in the attack.
Stark’s new K-9 unit is named Kayne. Police say Kayne is a 16-month-old sable German Shepard from Slovakia.
Sgt. Stark chose Kayne at the Vohne Liche kennel in Denver, Indiana. He was donated by Dr. & Mrs. Caesar DePaço, owner of Summit Nutritionals ®.
